Recitals
The Phoenix Grove Trio with their fresh approach to upper woodwind chamber music, have fabricated a distinguishing voice, inciting the attention and interest of some of today´s modern composers
With a zealous regard for music, these three outstanding musicians hold a vast consortium of expertise and experience, encompassing music from renaissance to contemporary, small chamber groupings to large symphonic playing. It was in this environment of such musical diversity that the group of friends were exposed to rare examples of this uncommon woodwind grouping of oboe, clarinet and flute. Works such as Malcom Arnold´s "Divertimento" and Cruft´s "3 Bagatelles" enthused a mutual interest, ensuing an exciting prospect of broadening the scope and repertoire of this niche.
The Phoenix Grove Trio have premiered three works to high acclaim and enjoy arranging music themselves. The trio continue to develop an expansive repertoire of both popular and esoteric classical music, as well as Jazz, modern and original compositions.
The Phoenix Grove Trio´s prior engagements include recitals at the National Portrait Gallery, Plymouth International Music Seminar and the Denston Music Society. Background music engagements include performances through out the City, greater London and the Home Counties. This includes venues such as Hampton Court, Tower of London, London Law Society and the Victoria & Albert Museum.
